Lesson 10 Evaluation

Evaluation

1) My overall opinion of the performance is very positive as i think everyone really pulled together to get there lines learned and there scenes perfect for the real performance and i am very proud of my peers.
2) I think my beginning sequence with Tia and Andrea went really well because i felt like we were really in-sink.
3)  I thought Ben's monologue was really good as you could tell he had really practiced it and thought deep into his character and his monologue.
4)I think out piece was effective because the music really suited the tones of the scenes in the change overs and a lot at the beginning  I think it was a really good idea that each character had there own dress code but then we where all wearing school ties to show we all went to school together.
4)I think our main strength of the piece was the beginning sequences because there was so much energy in it put with subtle tons of something could happen as the music had  news radio casts in the background.
5)I think the weakness of our performance was the lack of energy towards the end of the play as i felt it started to get a bit slow and dragged out a bit because there wasn't a lot of atmosphere in the scenes.

Lesson 9

1) In the change overs me andrea and tia pass the lipgloss over to eachother as a symbol we are the same characterr i think this will look clever to the audience, the audience will then understand we are the same character .

2) 1. Be off script
    2. Practice at home
    3. work out how to react to what the other characters are saying

Lesson 8

1) Tia was ill so me and Andrea worked on the timings of each action we do and working out the positions we stand in for it, we also worked out when we come in and exit the stage according to the characters before and after us and where from the wings we enter.

2) We decided on using something suttle but affective to our character so a Lipgloss, we use this because we think that Cathy is very vain and cares alot about what she looks like and what people think so she will be constantly re-applying her lipgloss to give the audience the perspective of a very typical air head and very vain, i think shes an air head because she basically is the one who ruins everything and frames a real man from the post office.

3) I think i need to make Cathy alot more boastful and attention seeking in my scene and i also need to write down the directions that where given to me on my script because they where helpful.

Lesson 7

Lesson 7
    1) I enjoyed being able to see the whole way through to get a better understanding of how the story unfolds.
    2) I think the play looks good but we have alot to do before the real performance as we havnt really connected as an asemble yet.

    3) I think Romy especially impressed me because she is pretty much off script and has put alot of thought into her lines and the way she delivers them.

    4) I learnt from watching my peers that i need to be aware of the pact that there will be an audience on 3 sides of me and make sure my back is not always to one side and also i need to think about projecting my voice in the space as some people seemed alittle quite.

Lesson 6

Lesson 6

I found this excercise very helpful as it gave us a chance to connect with our characters and think more deeply into the small things about them and there backgrounds, we also got to think about how they personally truely feel about the Adam situation which i personally felt like my character Cathy feels its quite exciting and is enjoying the rush of the situation.

Staging

Staging

Q1 - It is a good chance for us as performers to practice performing to a audience not just infront of us but surrounding us.

Q2- It limits the space to perform in width wise.

Q3- Ever since i started acting i have always learnt to face the audience when acting so a challenge for me will be opening up to an audience all around me and trying to perform at all angles so that i can be seen by the whole audience and they will not feel blocked out.
