Lesson 8
1) Tia was ill so me and Andrea worked on the timings of each action we do and working out the positions we stand in for it, we also worked out when we come in and exit the stage according to the characters before and after us and where from the wings we enter.
2) We decided on using something suttle but affective to our character so a Lipgloss, we use this because we think that Cathy is very vain and cares alot about what she looks like and what people think so she will be constantly re-applying her lipgloss to give the audience the perspective of a very typical air head and very vain, i think shes an air head because she basically is the one who ruins everything and frames a real man from the post office.
3) I think i need to make Cathy alot more boastful and attention seeking in my scene and i also need to write down the directions that where given to me on my script because they where helpful.
Lesson 7
Lesson 7
-
1) I enjoyed being able to see the whole way through to get a better understanding of how the story unfolds.
- 2) I think the play looks good but we have alot to do before the real performance as we havnt really connected as an asemble yet.
3) I think Romy especially impressed me because she is pretty much off script and has put alot of thought into her lines and the way she delivers them.
4) I learnt from watching my peers that i need to be aware of the pact that there will be an audience on 3 sides of me and make sure my back is not always to one side and also i need to think about projecting my voice in the space as some people seemed alittle quite.
Lesson 6
Lesson 6
I found this excercise very helpful as it gave us a chance to connect with our characters and think more deeply into the small things about them and there backgrounds, we also got to think about how they personally truely feel about the Adam situation which i personally felt like my character Cathy feels its quite exciting and is enjoying the rush of the situation.
